2 Hours Late, No AM kindergarten or preschool. Wind chill values early Friday are forecast to be below -18°F in the northern half of District 49. At a wind chill of -18°F or lower, exposed skin can get frostbite in as little as 30 minutes. We are confident that a two-hour delay will allow conditions to improve and reduce the danger of frostbite. We will continue to monitor temperatures and evaluate road conditions as we assess overall safety through the night. If conditions warrant an upgrade from a delay to a closure, we will announce that decision through our standard channels.
